OBJECTIVES

OUR OBJECTIVES
Arms Reach CIC, we’re dedicated to helping young people rediscover their confidence, motivation, and love for learning.

We believe that when young people feel heard, supported, and valued, they can achieve incredible things. Our mission is to help them find that belief in themselves again.
We work with students aged 11–16 who may be struggling in mainstream education, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), social or emotional challenges, barriers to school engagement, and those receiving Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) provision.

Our goal is simple, to give every young person the tools, support, and space they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
Our Aims
Re-engaging Students with Education We re-engage students with education through creative, therapeutic and mentoring-based interventions designed around their individual needs. By meeting young people where they are — emotionally, socially and academically — we help rebuild their relationship with learning at a pace that works for them.

Improving Attendance, Wellbeing and Self-Esteem We work to improve attendance, wellbeing and self-esteem, helping students feel more confident and connected to their school community. Through consistent, trusted relationships and targeted support, we help young people rediscover a sense of belonging and purpose.

Supporting Learners with SEN We offer tailored strategies and genuine understanding for learners with Special Educational Needs, enabling them to learn and grow at their own pace. We recognise that every student is different, and we adapt our approach to reflect their unique strengths, challenges and learning styles.

Working Closely with Schools We partner with schools to advise on best practices, provide specialist interventions, and help staff build positive, meaningful relationships with their most vulnerable students. We see ourselves as an extension of the school team, collaborative, responsive and solutions-focused.

Supporting Parents and Carers We offer guidance and open communication to strengthen the connection between home and school. By keeping families informed, involved and supported, we help create consistency and trust across every part of a young person's life.

A Safe and Trusted Space We provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where young people can talk, open up and work through challenges, much like a counselling or therapeutic setting. Building trust is at the heart of everything we do, and we believe that feeling heard is often the first step toward real change.

Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) For young people who are unable to attend a mainstream school setting, whether due to medical needs, severe anxiety, exclusion, or other complex circumstances, we provide flexible, mentoring-led provision outside of the traditional school environment. Through dedicated 1-1 mentoring, we build trusted relationships that give young people the stability, confidence and motivation they need to re-engage with learning and life. Alongside therapeutic and pastoral care, our approach ensures no young person falls through the gaps. We work closely with families, schools and local authorities, to deliver provision that is safe, purposeful and tailored to each individual, supporting young people to develop resilience, self-belief and a clear pathway forward.
